A few decals and a little detail
One of the diecast boards I frequent is holding a no-drill custom contest. Any casting, anything you want to do to it, just can't drill it or unscrew it to remove the body. So, with decals a good friend makes I did a couple of castings. Two coats of Future Clear floor wax helps protect the decals and provides a nice shine.
The 370 is a Maisto model, slightly larger than 1/64. The chrome wheels were sanded and have one coat of flat black, need to add another. A little black wash was added to the grille and also added to the chrome wheels on the Mercedes van.

Very cool cars...it looks great. Where do you get them, or make them?

I second Milton on custom decals...will your friend take custom orders? PM me if you have info, thanks.
I'll 3rd that, I've been looking for someone to make some custom K & O Racing decals!
Thanks for the comments guys! I enjoy adding decals to a plain casting and turning it into something with a little more character. Never really had the patience to paint (I hate waiting for it to dry lol).
As far as the clearcoat, I just use the Future floor wax and a soft artist brush to put it on. It dries fairly quickly and gives a nice glossy finish.
I talked with my friend Dave tonight about those of you interested in decals. He might be stopping by the site to check it out. I'll be seeing him Thursday after to work so either way one of us will let you know if he can do it.
And let your friend know that if he has a side business or whatever making decals, I'll happily swap him some advertising for some regular decals.
Nice looking cars!
Do you air brush the furniture polish?
Do you send them in to be judged or just photos?
Would your friend be interested in doing decals for others?
