The prototype works great, looks cool seeing the cars sashe' for 15" before the downhill blast...
parts list ;
i fabbed a 1/2" PVC table 10"x 26" with 24" fronts and [ 26" rears, adjustable legs ] about 10 degrees.
sizzlers dual lane speed brake starting gate, 1" offset ess turns, about 10 degrees of pitch...
[2] 10"sections of yellow "racing stripe" track, ( matchbox ?) it alters the pitch from 10 to 30 degrees [Drag Tracks]
[1] Drag Tracks 20" inclined section, the Transfer section, and the desired run out ]...
track measures 72" plus the runout ...
the car that performs the smoothest "burnout" gets to the downhill first, from there it's all gravity...

also ; this yellow track is wider than the tall sided blue flamed stuff, which hung the cars up about half the time, the transition from esses to downhill is much smoother in yellow.
i will test as many different car as i have before i suggest we run - THE BATTLE OF THE BURNOUTS CHALLENGE...
i don't want to damage anyones cars ...PIX WHEN CAMERA BATTS ARE CHARGED. and carl can help!

needs a starting gate,
the angle that works best for the esses to downhill isn't steep enough to get a fair launch, i added two 12" sections of flexable blue flamed track to the start, i have increased pitch with this...cars started fine...
as a finish line i will use the drag tracks set-up that i have now...
a race ? hmmm... maybe a featherweight challenge / burnout battle, double header in late april...
i have no idea how you would ever test for this track...it's a dual speed brake and esses set..
on ebay, new in sealed box... $ 194.00
we'll have to shoot and hollar shucks i guess !

Awesome! and Awesome!

A better mouse trap.

What is that blue inclined part between the yellow track parts ? is that a genuine HW part ?
