Diorama Photobox...at the county fair
I looked around wall mart / k mart to see what displays they were taking down... saw these Ricola boxes...they have been designed to be rugged by compound folding of the sides... I bought a sheet of white paper on both sides of a Styrofoam center 20" x 36" x 3/16" ... made a base and a backdrop, sprayed them with spray bomb adhesive, pressed on sections of grey felt and glued a chunk onto the far end to keep it all grey... A 1/2 yard of green felt will convert it to a car show on grass...or flip the sections over, the other side is still white, makes for a photo-box... My brother gets me large clear plastic bags [Poland spring water caps] ... I slide the dio-box into the bag... it stores easy and doesn't need to be dusted if you don't use it for a year...

This is awesome, Smitty. I can't believe that little tower is a pencil sharpener and other random parts, that's crazy crafty. A few more little touches and you'll have a photo backdrop that'll look great for every type of car and race.
the FRIED DOUGH DRAGS ...more guard rails under drying grey paint ;
more grey felt applied, the new grandstands, waiting on a control tower, [shown is a dual angle pencil sharpener, black felt floor, cardstock roof and 4 wooden match legs]...and a light tower...still need light grey felt with black magic marker tire tracks and a piece of blister pack as burnout water on the burnout pad...;
