Crew Chief Challenge 3 - Race 2 from LJLRC

When you bring a Hot Rod to the track to race, you usually haul it there behind your old, trusty pick up truck! Well, in this race, we run both the Hot Rods and the Pick up Trucks! This event was the first one that I ever put together, 2 years ago...and, it had been a pretty cool event for the last few years. I'll post links to the past events so you can check out some of the past builds!

Rules & Restrictions
- Weight - For the trucks, 57 grams...for the Hot Rods, 35 grams
- Size restrictions; orange track wide and 2" high, but for the length...the trucks can be 3.5" long and I'm limiting the Hot Rods to 3"
- Cars per entrant - You can build two teams if you want...that's two trucks and two Hot Rods per entrant
- Brand, body style, year, make/model requirements - The Hot Rods can be 1941 and older this year (so cars like Neet Streeter and the '41 Willys are allowed, along with the other early cars) The pick-ups have always been open, but, this year I would like to see Pre-1980 full size pick ups (no Bone Shakers and no mini trucks)
- Wheel limitations, requirements; FTE wheels are allowed and can be modified (turned, sanded, etc), but you must use production style axle
- Must be drilled rivets
- Dry lubes only
- Misc requirements - Think of these vehicles as your Hot Rod race car and it's support truck...your race team as you would go to the track on race day :)
Prizes
TBD. I'll probably offer one of my teams as prizes...others are invited to do so as well! I've also offered a 'Spirit of the Race' award to the team that best represents the essence of this race

This combo ran in the first Crew Chief Challenge race! The truck dudn't do too much, but the little altered did pretty well :)
Since RLD has been REALLY, REALLY quiet of late, I'm pushing this race back to October 1st. And I'll try to stir up some interest and make this race a cool one!
studebaker was in buisiness making top of the line conastoga wagons before cars... go west young man go west...
Glad you pushed it back, I have been really busy lately things are calming down I will have time for the hobby of hot wheels again in September. Looking forward the the triple C 3!(crew chief challenge 3) and

I've started playing around with some new ideas for wheels...I'm sure I'll post some stuff, once I've gotten a little further along.

I'll be doing a build-up on this '32. It will be a little tricky...it comes in at about 38 grams, so it have to get pared down a little. Stay tuned for the details.
