Father's Day Drags... New Gloucester style
New sloppy racing layout for the Knuckle Busters car club gig on father's day ...New Gloucester, ME.
New track layout... The Sloppy Starter, 4' downhill, 2' drop, lane 1 goes into a Loop de loop, lane 2 goes by and crosses over through the Danger Changer section, then as lane 2 goes into his Loop de loop, lane 1 is coming out of his, lane 1 crosses over through the Danger Changer and goes by lane 2 coming out of his Loop as they runout to the finishline or maybe to a pair of jumps... [no losers that way].
kids are gonna freak... I expect carnage ! ... I will accept mail-ins, but all cars will be given to the few kids that hang around all day and race... till mom says NOW !
thinking short wheelbase, wheels on the corners, low center of gravity.... nevermind... I can crash with the best of 'em...

Cars couldn't keep enough speed to make the second loop, so I canned one lane and added a speedometer, they liked the speedo... After an hour I converted to two lane no loop drag strip [no finish line] ... The racing gave the Dads time to check out the car show and not have the kids wanting to leave [knowing there would be ice cream on the way home] ...WAS A GOOD DAY !
