@WorpeX: your pictured cars are some of your fastest as well as your favorites right?

i had to chop thunder roller to clear the finish line's top on DRAG TRACKS set...

@WorpeX: your pictured cars are some of your fastest as well as your favorites right?

Mostly just my favorites. A lot of my favorite cars USED to be super quick on the track but now that i've started coming to RLD, i've been buying new cars which are faster. Not to mention that my favorites are now all really old cars and age is starting to catch up to them (like the firebird on the bottom, you can tell that that ones been around for awhile!). That Way 2 Fast however is likely the fastest car I own - even better then FTE's.

Also JDC, you need to take the wheels off of that Dump Truck and put some FTE's on it. I bet it would be fast with some real wheels!

Nice color too!

Little picture? Do you mean the avatar. First you need to make a picture really small then go to your profile page and download it.

I think he is asking about the Tampo on the side of the car.

A couple of Sportsman Johnny FTE's parkin' at the JDC Garage

The "" open for business. Just a place to hang out, eat greasy burgers & cold pizza while drinking colder beer. Everybody Welcome! Oh yea, gotta be able to BS about how good ya are at HW Racing.
Wadda ya think? And Yup, thats Smitty's Anglia parked there and that may be Carl gassin' up, it does have Texas tags.

Nice garage. If that's Carl, then it looks like he's wearin' a skirt.

Nice job. For some reason I really like those trees, but I do work in the Forest.

That does appear to be Carl posing by his van. Not sure why he's wearing that skirt, might have something to do with the colder beer.

Sorry Carl, Those pumps are from the early 60's and the gas jockies of the day wore those longer style white coats as part of the uniform. Supposed to give the impression of a clean station. But it is funny!
I can't decide if I should paint them or not. Had them for over 50 years. The pumps that is.

That does appear to be Carl posing by his van. Not sure why he's wearing that skirt, might have something to do with the colder beer.

OK, Plan "B". Use the newer style pumps!

Yeh - it's a long coat . . . that's what it is . . .

spose carl is kilt packing scottsman

Great group of muscle cars in that latest pic. I really like the Street Rodder with the redline wheels. The Porsche really doesn't fit in though -it's kind of an anachronism there.

Cool pictures! I like the new pump better!

How are you supposed to get into that middle pump if someone is already at the other two?

Must be the diesel pump

The old Hot Rod is a JL from the early 60's missing the windshield & a lot of it's paint. (well played with) Sorry bout the Porsche
The Vicky under the tree is also an original from the 60's. If ya look close the old JL hot rod is in the garage

Small 4" dowels I bought at A.C. Moore, cut them down to 1.5" & glued them together.
Each of 4 sections have 2 longer dowels, I poked holes into the foam board & glued them in

Nice. I didn't even realize that was foamboard. I just assumed it was the wall in the background.

it's my first solo pix post, why half the truck is missing ? who knows...

Nice work Smitty.
It looks like you're getting a handle on posting pics!

you have to start somewhere ! pictures are moved to ; racing bases [ chassis ]

You do some beautiful work Smitty. I don't know how you're able to modify the cars like you do -you must have the hands of a surgeon, and an awesome set of tools. And your painting skills are second to none!

i'll post a couple of pix a little later of just how basic a set up i use... $1 - $4 can of spray bombs

Nice photo of the bases there Smitty, but where are the secrets?

the secrets are in.............. bellingham !

Nicely presented, Smitty. You really are the "chassis guru".

Pixlr Express! Has a lot of cool settings for messing around with pictures, adding backdrops, borders, color adjustments, etc, etc.

Thanks for the comments guys!

the secrets are in.............. bellingham !

Bellingham, are you talking about Bellingham Washington? If we have some racers in that area, I get down across the boarder 2-3 times a year maybe we could setup a race...unless the racers in that part of Washington are chicken. Just kidding

Preacher

hello preacher, yup, we do have a racer in Bellingham, WA.
bet HE would love to race YOU !... but do YOU want to race " 442" ?..... HMMM... PAY PER VIEW ?

WOW Stroller, what year did you get these from a dollar store?
Those are some sweet old rides!

I got the wrapped ones yesterday from a local dollar store here in Spokane.

Yeah, I have not seen those red and yellow cards...the artwork looks new but the colors are odd.

I just noticed that none the artwork on any the cards match the car in the package. I don't think I have ever seen that before. Neither the blue or red cards.

Yeah, I have not seen those red and yellow cards...the artwork looks new but the colors are odd.

The red cards are from 2007 the blue ones from 2006. You got my curiosity up and I found them on Ebay.

as far as the pic matching the car, that is relatively new [3 ish years]

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

A fun mod (wheel change). Fairly fast too.
This was my favorite casting growing up. I got the black one in a three pack when I was a kid (was unbelievably thrilled to take the 'Bandit' home -good memories!)

is it faster with or without the t-rooves ? .... memory tells me they are heavy.

My track is set up in a 40 foot shipping container on some rural property in the mountains. Got up here today to find someone making themselves at home in with my Hot Wheels.

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Oh man that looks bad. Was it people or critters?

A little mouse I assume. It's not as bad as it looks. I had planned on busting those open at some point anyway...just hadn't gotten them yet. Mickey beat me to it!

Yes, I did!

i bought some redlines when i first joined rdr... but i never break them out to look at them... thanks for the motivation !

Picked this up from the .25 cent bin at the last HotWheels show I was at, just got around to running it...it's fast. Almost as fast as a known quick Way 2 fast... so this was a nice surprise.

I second that! Awesome shots, Traction. As you go through photographing your cars, you should upload them as variants within the Fantasy League. The more great photos we have of cars the better.

nice find, I call it the [Tom McMullen roadster] there is an EBAY customizer that uses that "street rodder" grill, engine, base, and a fenderless & hoodless "A-OK" body and real rider wheels... he sold a bunch of 'em...
j.b. rivit on a set of [ FTEs ], it's got plenty of "leadroom", and looks great

Stripe removed, cleaned, axles tweaked and it rolls straight on the coffee table. (kinda) but it weighs less than the Torero, so into the collection it goes.....looks good, for being 45yrs old

Finally got my hands on one of this a few weeks ago....

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

16 Angels "White Heat." One of my favorite HW original castings in one of my favorite paint schemes. BTW, the black grating I got it sitting on is actually an old under gravel filter piece for a fish tank...lol Thought it did the job pretty well.

Also been picking these up, when I manage to find them out on the peg...
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Mad Manga. Think I've managed to grab all of them, except for the purple one.

I like the look of the gravel filter base!

I like the look of the gravel filter base!

Guess I gotta give the wife credit for that idea. Kept trying to get a good pic on the usual white stand I use, and nothing was coming out right. Told her, "I need something black." Next thing I know, she's handing me a piece of filter base. One of the few times I'm glad I don't have the 20 tall tank set up any more...lol

just to bump a good thread.

Not customized. It is leftover from when I purchased a bunch of HW's when my boys were being born. I sold off all my carded stuff but kept all the opened cars. I had to look it up but it looks like it is a 2002 Motor City Classics Walmart exclusive.
