Hot Wheels Tune-Up Tower

I follow this guy's Hot Wheels Playset blog but I guess this post went up before I started paying attention. The HW Tune-Up Tower from 1970. Had a "dyno-meter" and even a wrench for bending axles back in place.

My prediction, whoever can make a modern version of this toy will sell a lot of them. I know someone made a dyno a while back but not sure anything really came of it. I'd be interested to know how the mechanics of the Mattel toy worked. I know it wouldn't have been super accurate but would like to think it shows something.

Hi:

I am the above person that made the dyno.  I still use it to check, first draft and final run, specs for my racers.  I have entered the upcoming Pro Builder Series.  I have sent in my racer - Turbolence.   Also, have entered the Modified Series out of Rhode Island.  Turoblence and Mitz Evo.   I am currently working on a new break in box - treadmill.  Thx  Jon
