How useful are game e-mails?

As most of you know, the Fantasy League sends out e-mails when races are seeded and ready for picks, and then again at the end with a race summary. How much do you rely on these e-mails?

There are other e-mails the system could/should send out in addition to the two that come out already but before I march down that path, I'm trying to think about how critical the e-mail parts of the League game are. My data shows that the e-mail messages are great calls for getting you guys into the site...basically acting as reminders. This is great and this is good but it puts the question in my head about value of the e-mails over the value of the game site at large...?

If the majority of you kind of "play by mail" then I need to revisit the mail formatting and info, but if the mails are truly leading you to the web site features and tools, then I'll keep focus there.

I guess just want to make sure the e-mails are doing their job but not limiting the experience overall.

They work for me...especially the email that tells me when the brackets are ready to make pics.

I like getting the reminders and the results as well.

With as many sites that I have to check on a regular basis for everything I'm into...it's nice to get reminder emails so I don't miss anything RDR or RTL related.

I check my email daily, so the prompts are most helpful.
