HW Train Car Sets...Who Was Raced Them?

Preacher Sunday, 12/8/2013

I noticed these on my last trip into Bellingham Washington. Not sure about their real name, but they are a two car pak, that connects together. They look like they would have some weight, and good rolling wheels, but haven't had the internal motivation to buy them. Has anyone here tried them out?

I think what you saw was Rapid Transit sets, I have thought about how they would race, but haven't gotten any yet.

I have seen them in a couple of race leagues and my various googles, but have passed on picking any up yet as well. This customized video was the only one i bookmarked - the guy burned 3 sets of FTEs, but it really turned out well!

That one in the video is awesome!

I have raced quite a few of them. Really not heavy at all.

I have just two that are fast, but they are REALLY fast on my track (front and back running separate)--introducing Turbo Hauler

The big boxy back is actually faster than the front.

I did a custom for one of the races and it didnt do well but Smitty at the time said it was the best roller from that group of cars on his dyno. It still had stock wheels on it.
