Thanks Smitty! That is the same car that got me the fastest Out of State shootout trophy from the LJLRC last December. I think these are the new BWF Camaro killers!

Keith as the President of the LJLRC I would personally like to congratulate you on setting the track record with the club! 2.194 is very impressive!!! Not sure just yet if I would put the JL 70 Dodge Challenger R/T in the same league with the BWF Camaro  but its starting to make some noise.

  • ain't them Marros getting old and grey ?... nodody stays champ forever ! — model40fan
  • Thank you very much! — KandORacing
  • I'd say so Smitty... they are still up there among the best stockers... but not THE best. — KandORacing

Cool! Keith sweet deal.  I have a green JL Challenger...its a dud...boo

  • As with any cars you can get duds of these... I own 7 of them, two are slow. But the ones that are fast are FAST! — KandORacing

Way to go, Keith! Is that the same car that you sent in for the Rip N Roll? That thing was a demon. Only lost by like microns it seemed.

What surprised me the most about that car is that the hood opens! Usually cars with the moveable parts end up being slower for some reason.

Brain, thank you! Yes, that is the same model of Challenger that I had sent in for the Rip n Roll. They are really great cars as stockers... I have been thinking about trying to modify one.

The infamous black with flames Camaros have opening hoods as well and it doesn't seem to affect them much for some reason. I guess it depends on how tight the "Hinge" is.

If you have a ton of those Mopars then that'd be quite the challenge to make that stock faster. Gotta say, every time I ever tried to make a fast car faster, it failed :( Sometimes you just shouldn't mess with success, I guess.

The Camaros' hoods actually aren't that tight, for the most part; they must just sit in there pretty well while the cars are going down the track.

In response to an earlier comment--K&O had mentioned to me recently that he thought one of my old best Camaros was going to be needing a walker soon...now hearing that they're "old and grey"--sounds like a grudge match might be in order.

Congrats on your time and wins, K&O!  It's not surprising that you won that race you set the time in--but it is surprising you won it with something else!  Ha-ha-ha.

  • True, the Camaro's hoods are very loose actually. Maybe it just depends on the location of the moving part on the car. — KandORacing
  • It's funny, because I can sometimes tell at the RIHWC when a Camaro's about to race--I hear the hood rattling when the car's picked up. — FOTF
  • When I sent two of mine to the DCRL (they did bad on those courses) the hoods rattled like crazy — KandORacing
  • And Milton Fox Racing said "If Ozzy would quit playing the tambourine while driving, maybe you would do better" LOL — KandORacing
