Need feedback, thoughts on family accounts

I know several of you play the Fantasy League with your kids - which is totally awesome, btw - but I have no way of determining this shy of mailing and asking (which I've done before). In my admin section I only see email addresses and when I addresses that look similar, I need to make sure it's not someone signing up twice just so they can spoof everyone and have more chances to win stuff.

So I'm thinking about adding a way to denote a family account or household account so players can group accounts together. Not only could this lead to some cool "family" features but would also make it easier for me to keep an eye on sign-ups and spy questionable activity easier.

Sound like a good idea? Anyone see any major problems with adding this type of feature?

Thanks for any feedback.

I see nothing wrong with it; good idea.

I think it is a good idea and see no reason not too. I have a friend with a 6 year old son and he joined so he and his son could play. (medders501),(Tanner is his name and Taylor is his sons name). He has his own e-mail set up, but they do have to use my computer to play, (and I'm still on the OLD dial up system, ugghhh. I know he wants to get into building some mods for the mail-ins somewhere along the way, whenever he feels ready I guess. Other than him, nobody else around here but me. When I get a different finish line set-up for my tracks he can help out with hosting, once I start doing that anyway.
Strayed of the subject there, Yes, very good idea.

Since we are probably the original "family", it works for me. I still remember having to convince you, I wasn't one person. (I understood why)

I think the "parental controls" is a side effect of this type of account. So the parent creates the passworded account and then creates child accounts but they don't have emails and can only login via the parent account. Thanks for the feedback, guys...keep it coming.
