I'm thinking of doing something like this for next year's track. Fastest time wins.

There will only be one race and it will last the entire 8-weeks while we wait for the car to get to the finish line.

Haha that's pretty good! Must have cost a fortune!
But seriously, you could set up a track with loops and boosters, have time trials to see if the fastest drag racers are also fastest on a curvy track. This could be a one-off event mid-way through the season as a chance to earn some extra points just to change it up a bit
