Official car names

Just wondering what everyone considers to be the "official" names of their Hot Wheels cars? I know the blister pack is often different than the name stamped on the bottom of the car...and some cars have no stamp to begin with.

I usually use the name stamped on the bottom of the car because, if nothing else, the blister usually gets thrown away.

I want to start thinking about a database for tracking car ratings beyond my own races, but in order to do so there has to be some accepted conventions on labeling cars.

I use whats on the car first, but separate into colums so that I can sort with excel if needed.

Year - Make/Model - Color - Group1 - Group2 - Group3
1969 Corvette Bronze NorthAm Muscle
Fangula Purple Fantasy Open Wheel
Flame Proof White Europe Sport
I have one lambo that doenst have a year, make, or model on it, but it has Flame Proof painted on it. So that one is just called Flame Proof

thats just how I have been catagorizing mine so far.

Well, I like to use the Hot Wheels Wikia. It is very useful to find cars, specially from those years when they have not the name in the base.

Some cars have more than one name: the Chevy Nomad was issued as Classic Nomad.

I usually use the name stamped on the bottom of the car because, if nothing else, the blister usually gets thrown away.

I agree with this if the base name is diferent from the blister name.

Greetings!

For the longest time, I've referred to my Hotwheel's bible: "TOMART'S Price Guide" when I have any doubt.
