Report problems and bugs

Yes, the quote button in the thread has been removed. I have yet to find a happy replacement for it, so for now if you want to quote someone, just copy/paste and use the quote button in the toolbar. Not ideal or as easy, I know, but that'll have to do for now.

The reason the quote button was removed is that it lent greatly to the overall cluttering of threads in the old forum. Pictures would get cloned and then you'd have quotes inside of quotes inside of quotes. It just wasn't easy reading and also made the page load a lot slower.

The Thumbs Up comments was added to partially mitigate some of that since many of the quotes on old the forums were the "I agree" type posts. I'm going to wait and see how things play out before adding the easy quote button back into the fold. I'm hoping the Thumbs Up catches on after people get used to all the other changes.

Brian, I thought I would go to the chat room and see if it has an updated look as well, but the chat room isn't there.

I'll reinstate the chat room once everything here on the main site is cleared up. The chat room won't look or change because that is a third-party service that I don't control. But a chat night Q&A about the new site is a good idea...

In regards to the jump to button after posting a reply.  Isnt redirecting the poster back to the top of thread kinda not asking the poster where they want to go or end up already?

In most forums and blogs I am in,  I mostly end up at the end of the thread I just posted into.  Some are so busy that others are posting at the same time and you end up at the last post made and not necessarily your last post.

Is that what you mean by non refreshing?

I am not sure where the core group of posters here would want to end up after a post, but if not back to the post I just made in that thread - I think my next option would be to be back at the home page and the sort list of recent posts made.

How can I see who else is online?  I must be missing it somewhere

@Milton - I'll see what I can change to make posting easier, I think that'll just be trial and error.

@Traction - The "who's online" is no longer a feature. That was part of the other forum software and I didn't duplicate that option in the new site. I'll add it to the list and will look at adding it in a future release.

I just pushed out an update that fixes a lot of the minor issues discovered Wednesday, including...

• Locked posts now have a message
• No more pop-ups in Internet Explorer
• Visual fixes to home page
• Search now handles empty results

Please keep reporting any problems you have. I'll do my best to call out when update fixes are made.

I noticed that the colored text in my first post in the Bare Muscle thread is no longer working.  Will colored text no longer be an option?

Colored text has been disabled. You'll see a bunch of the [color] markers within your posts left over from the copy, I'll be cleaning those up here soon (but you can do so yourself if you like).

For now you'll have to use the bold and italics to dress up your posts.

I guess I'm Nightstalker8 again. Lost Stawker9 somehow. I'm so confused!!

I like the feature where you can click unread messages and jump straight to them. I discovered a problem using that feature. It does not tell you when someone uses the thumbs up feature to add a comment. Is there a way to let me know when someone has left a comment using the thumbs up?

I would still like a jump to the last read if possible.  If there are more than one new post you have to scroll back up to see them anyway!
