Season 12 starts, all systems go
Given I've been out of practice and everything has been sitting cold since late last year, everything went off without a hitch to kick off 2013 properly. It was great to get back to racing and seeing new and old cars fly down that track. One of these times I just need to record audio because even my reactions tell quite a story.
Big congrats to Nightstalker for winning the Diecast X 500 and earning the free Hot Wheels mainline prize. It was really great to see a lot of garage cars being entered as well. Don't be shy in playing your cards when it comes to cars. I know strategy is now part of the game with that but ideally no one's strategy should be to hoard cars and never play them.

And I'm happy to report that the new Teams feature worked out pretty well too. The only hiccup that you'll see on the site is incorrect highlighting of winning teams on the Teams section but the numbers and stats are accurate.
The Players section should help captains in recruiting but remember that this is week 1 and the "last week" numbers don't apply so the change jump will be extreme in most cases. Starting in week 2 you should see some more telling stats for each player.
Hopefully all you new players didn't have any problems in playing and now have a full week under your belt to see how it all works. Week 2 and beyond works just like this week...enter cars when a tournament opens, make your picks and then wait for results on the weekend. But be glad you started in week 1 because it can be hard to contend after a couple weeks in.

I already messaged Brian about the issue with the team scoring this week, so everyone else should double check their points as well. Stroller, a member of the Larks, scored points this week but they got written down as "0"s towards our team score.

Checking this out...there are two players with the name Stroller. One of the, played, one of them did not and it looks like you (unknowingly) added the non-player to your team. I'll see what I can do. I know we can get the right player on your team but I'm not sure how far I can undo the scoring since its all tied together with other things, I'll see.
I have a white version of the BMW 2002, so had to go with that for this pick and it panned out. One of the kids slected it as well to win that tournament. Just wasnt sure how it would perform on Brian's track.
Man, I need to get traded on my team! Great job, everybody, except for me. Last season, and now this season, it's hard to break 100 points on each bracket. Maybe I just need some practice...
