SEE BEFORE AND WHILE YOU WELD...

I know this site is not about full size cars...

but any of you useing an auto darkening welding helmet, this will help you see what you are about to weld and is really cheap and easy to do...

auto darkening welding helmets use a #3 lens when LIGHT... and a #11 when DARK ...

 use an LED forehead mounted light, remove the elastics [slots in the gaps will let you remove the elastics without cutting anything in case you want to restore it]...

take the flange that sat against your forehead and duct tape it to the CHIN of your helmet [hinge up]...

mine has high beam, low beam or both..

 tilt it up 2 clicks and even with a #3 LENS it really lights up about a 2" circle right where you are going to weld... works every bit as well when grinding...i also slipped in a 1.5 magnifying lens... WOW !

getting old, but a little snow on the roof doesn't keep wire from the welder...
