That is really nicely done! I see some 'Monte Carlo' influence in a few of those shots. Some of the buildings appear to be scratch-built too. And the "catch fence" is awesome....I've thought about fabing-up something like that as well.

Yeah, I really like the Indy 500 one. I have seen many examples of people doing this on Slot racing message boards. I have never gone that far with mine as I don't want to be locked into one single track all the time. I always have my eye on additional track pieces when I can find/afford them.

Unless you are using other slot cars--which is going to be $$$$ (they are in some of these pictures) I have never found good 1/32 cars to put around the track as decoration.

I have built mine up a little with walls and a catch fence. For the catch fence, I use a plastic gutter guard that you can find at Lowe's. I use white Xmas lights to light the track as the bulbs fight right into that gutter guard. US PO shipping boxes work great for garages and I run additional white XMas lights in there to light them up.
