Sussex Raceway info...
I got a question about my track, so I figured I would answer in a thread...since I have some races coming up.
My track is just a little over scale quarter mile...it is a little over 250" and I can vary the hill height...I think it is about 28"-29" right now.
I use Drag Track sections start to finish. If you are curious, DT is a little over 1.3" wide at the bottom...

...and it tapers out to 1.442" at the top of the sides. The sides are .183" high...

I use a Smitty starter which flips up, as you can see...

And I use a 3DBot finish line...

...which I ground the outer two lane dividers off of so that it will work with DT. I run electrical tape from the track in front of the finish to the piece behind the finish to guide the cars through the gate.
I use a Smitty Sloppy Stopper with an old sweatshirt folded over top of it.

The cars were hitting the stopper a little hard without the sweatshirt, but with it, it works really well.
Here is test video I did so you can see the whole track...

What, no temperature and humidity? Or are you waiting for race day :)
- Yeah, needs a wind sock too — redlinederby
- With it being in the basement, it's a pretty steady temperature, which is nice :) — 72_Chevy_C10
- What about the guys in the pickups, dragging tires to dry the track?? Lol — CrzyTrkrDude
Nice setup...lighting looks great, much better than before.
