The Original Faster Than Ever's

The Hot Ones were a type of wheel introduced in 1981. With an inspection of their axles, they seem to be smaller and shinier than typical axles. The 1981 commercial mentioned how they have "racing axles"

If only you could go into a toy store and their staff be that knowledgable about cars. One day, there will be a Redline Derby Racing store front and we'll be that guy. Workbench with tools is over there... drag track for testing and racing is over there... new cars are on the pegs over there... and Home Depot is across the street...what more would we need? Oh the dreams...

Idea...

There's a "report" button on each post along the threads.

What if there's a "Hide" button next to it, that essentially does just that.

And a "New comment" alert flag, that let's someone know a new comment has been added to someone's comment or post on that thread.

This way, after a post has been read, someone can hide all but the first ( say 10 characters) of a post, so they can decide  to reread it, or remember what that post says. The "Flag" would let them know there's something new to read there.

This might be a way to cut down on data, but it sure sounds difficult. Just tossing quarter in the fountain I guess.

  • example: this would cause a flag, on a hidden post that says "Idea..." RED FLAG — CrzyTrkrDude
  • I sketched out an solution similar today, plan on adding it to the new site — redlinederby
