Tournament race grade guide

New in Season 4 each tournament race winner will be given a grade. This grade is a representation of how well the car beat its opponent to win the previous race. These grades are given based on observed results from the front bumper of the losing car.

Grades will not be available or shown for tournaments prior to Season 4.

The grades should be used as research when deciding which cars to enter and pick for tournaments.

GRADES
No contest. Car won two straight heats by two or more car lengths
Decisive victory. Car won two straight heats by around one car length
Close race. Car won two straight heats by less than one car length
Photo finish. Car won two heats to one. This grade does not denote winning distance*

Here is a chart showing how we eyeball results. Remember, the WINNER is the car gets the grade (the red car). The arrows denote the distance in which the losing car is observed when the winning car crosses the finish line, giving the winner the corresponding grade.

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

*If the winning car earns a D grade it means it won 2 heats to 1 but does not suggest any distance by which it won. However, it's probably safe to assuming that if a match-up went to all three races, the cars were probably evenly matched.
