Toys in the attic...

My mom dug out some of my old childhood boxes in her attic and hidden in the bottom one amongst the GI Joe tanks and Tonka trucks was this little guy. I remember my grandma bought it for me. Funny thing is, I don't remember losing it - I think I just assumed it suffered the same destructive fate as most of my other cars. Not sure what release this is, doubtful it's a first run - I had this thing circa 1985ish, I think...or close to it.

Gotta hang on to this one...

Thanks, mom.

Another gem from mom's attic...

Not a lot of track left but enough to make a small oval. Unfortunately it no longer works...I think the power supply is dead. Track itself and the 3 cars I had were in pretty good shape. If nothing else, I can turn this track into some sort of off-road diecast track like our friends at DCRL...hmmmm...
