Water damage, time for a new track

As elsewhere in this part of the country, snow has built up quite a bit and unfortunately over the past 36-hours it has started to melt ever so slightly. This normally wouldn't be a problem but it seems the sunroom attached to the back of our house decided it was a bit too much and it started to leak all over the place...water dripping from the ceiling over everything. And amongst that everything was my race track.

Of course the track itself is fine but I fear the wood for the track will suffer some warping and whatever else being soaked in freezing water will to do it. So it seems I might have to build a new track before the Spring. It's kind of sad to see this track suffer...it was my first track and the one that has supported the Fantasy League ever since it started. But in the same stroke it was also the guinea pig for learning the hobby so it has suffered from the trials and errors of making a track.

So on top of updating the online game I'll be building a new track and adding it to the directory. And since this is a new track it will get a separate listing and stats. I'll most certainly be using all the great tips, hints and photos you guys have posted to build the next great derby track

Sorry to hear about your house and the track.
I'm sure the next track will be even better!
Just one more thing to add to the to-do list.

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear about the water damage and the track. Once you fix things up, it sure will shake the fantasy league up a bit! I wonder if the new change will benefit some cars over others?

Right after fix the roof. Aside from that, Hope 2013 will be a Great year for you and yours!

I'm sorry to hear you had damage from the snow melt. Hopefully the leak will be confined to one area. Maybe your homeowners policy will cover the new tarck....

Sorry to hear about that bad news. What is it with RLD and leaking roofs this year?
