*FULL* DEEP EDDY STREET TAKEOVER

Street racing takes over the hills of the Deep Eddy Raceway in November 2024 as 18 Diecast street racers attempt to run from a lethal interceptor finely-tuned for this territory and packing spec advantages over your car. However, this agreement or challenge between the law man and the racers serves up a classic disadvantage for the interceptor: He starts every lap from the rear outside position in the grid. Your goal is to out run him and collect as many points as possible. Only one of the competitors entering the race can win the tournament.
18 driver spots are up for grabs. You have 24 castings to choose from. 18 of them must be represented. NO DUPLICATES. Once a casting is chosen, it's taken. First come, first serve. Choose from the rest on the list if your first choices are taken. Check the comments carefully!

Alternates will get a race no matter what. Time may pass before this happens. But they will race. We appreciate ya.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 72g maximum weight. 1g grace.
• 3in. long x 1.25in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entries per household
• Retail axles and BLACK plastic tires/wheels only. FTE/NPA axles ok.
• Dry lube only
• No putty of any kind.
• No stretching.
• "Best in show" will receive an awesome prize package so custom street racer livery and or decals are encouraged!
• Stock paint is allowed due to no duplicates but please see above!
• No handpainted cars allowed.
• If your car fails to run or finish on the track after 3 tests, it will be DQ'd.
• Pro tip: This track will PUNISH any car that does not run super straight. Farm your axles, use an axle jig and carefully consider your weight placement.
• Yes, you can open your fenders for medium wheels at Max. And yes you can file your fenders for less sidewall friction.
• Your car must be compatible with orange hot wheels track.
• Family-friendly decals and livery for any custom looks.
• Entry fee is $10 and includes automatic return shipping. Cash in the box is fine or you can send PayPal to paypal.me/iambaines. If you do not want your car back, you may note this on your entry slip. However, the entry fee is mandatory. No fee. No race. All fees due in advnace.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 10/25/2024. Racing is scheduled for Friday, 11/8/2024. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10.00 entry fee. This includes return shipping. 

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry And please don't forget to include your "driver" name and team name. 

Track

Deep Eddy Raceway 2.0

Race format and scoring

This will be a double-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins top points. Cars will alternate a 3-position grid for a 6 lap group race with a police interceptor starting from the outside rear in all laps. The goal is to take advantage of your grid position and stay ahead of the interceptor. If all the racers beat the interceptor, they keep their points for their respective finish positions. If you finish but are behind the interceptor (-1) is applied to your points for the lap. A DNF is 0 points and finishing last behind the interceptor is a (-1) point, normally (1) point. Any competitor that finishes behind the interceptor will be dinged with a (-1) to their points. The interceptor will receive points only for reference and cannot win the tournament. This format is subject to change prior to the first race.

6 groups rounds of 3 cars = 6 Winners to the Semifinals = 2 group winners. The 4 losing Semifinal cars will race in a 4 lap round with no interceptor for the 3rd car that joins the final race with 3 cars going 6 laps.
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be based upon 3 private test laps.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given 1g grace over the stated weight limit.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will not race. 
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches if they cannot be fixed and the spots will go to the alternates. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will be repaired or replaced if possible.
