Jeepers Creepers [NOW FULL]
Saturday, May 24th, 2025
LIMIT 40 ENTRIES
Rules & restrictions
- Production model Jeep only (no concept models)
- Modified entries only, race numbers are not required.
- Open cab entries (ex. CJ-7) must have a driver glued inside. The driver can be pretty much anything, an animal, an alien, a piece of candy. No bikini girls or lewd figures.
- 70g maximum weight (1g grace)
- Size limit: 3.25in. long x 1.87in. tall x 1.58in. wide.
- Only 1 entry per household, no exceptions.
- Keep the Center of Gravity (CG) low! Weight is allowed under the chassis, but must be painted black.
- ***** UPDATED!!! *****
Retail axles and knobby tires only. Must be plastic wheels. Real riders not allowed. Note: 5mm wide knobbies or wider are okay. Examples of Hotwheel's with 5mm knobbies are the Commando and Scrambler. By the way, tests on the track show that 5mm knobbies are no faster than the wider 7mm knobbies. Finally, light sanding on the knobby wheels to remove imperfections is allowed. - It is wise to clip the 4 tabs inboard of the wheels. These have been shown to hit the rocks on the upper section of the track, which causes your car to slow down.
- Dry lube only (Silicone is okay)
Use table below to determine your minimum clearance.

The Great Sand Dunes!
Race format and scoring
The exact format and scoring will be announced after the Time Trials.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
Prizes
- BIG FAT trophy for the overall winner!
- Best In Show Contest!
- Creepiest Build Contest!
REVIEW CHECKLIST BEFORE MAILING:
- Is the distance from the outside of the left wheel to the outside of the right wheel less than or equal to 1.58”? (This ensures it's not too wide for the startgate and the track)
- Is your Jeep no taller than 1.87” including antennas or flags? (There is bridge to go under.)
- Does it weigh more than 50 grams and less than 70 grams (1g grace)? (Hint: anything under 50g will likely not make it to the finish line. Added weight helps.)
- Is it fitted with knobby tires, not slicks?
- Do you have adequate clearance? Use the table above to check the minimum for your entry.
- Did you trim or clip off the wheel tabs on the chassis located inboard of each wheel?
- Is added weight under the chassis painted black?

- I’ve got many Jeeps to choose from but after I signed up I hopped on eBay and found an auction for a metal/metal Wagoneer — the auction was going to end in 45min so I placed a bid - no one showed up. I got it for the minimum bid of $3.45 ($5.25 shipping) a total score. — AbbyNormal
