RACE FORMAT UPDATE!

Corporate has made a decision to change the race format for this event in keeping with the theme of the race. This tournament has now been changed to a head-to-head competition under the lights at night. Corporate does realize that the risk of Kaiju returning at night is much greater than during the day, but it is what the fans have asked for!

Laps will only be reset and start in the same position if both cars do not finish a lap. Pacific Rim Speedway officials have the final decision in all races. Bracket seeding will be random.

TRACK UPDATE!

Corporate has also made the decision to remove the safety fence surrounding the sewer vent to accomodate better viewing for the fans. This also comes with a warning for all drivers. If cars crash and roll off the sewer vent cliff, there is a strong possibility that their car may not return to the race due to fall damage sustained as they land in the Kaiju's Lair below.

Cross from Flat Rabbit Racing Club in Illinois, USA has checked-in and passed inspection for the Race of the Rising Sun diecast racing tournament! Cross will be driving the blue 1998 Honda Prelude, known as "#3 Special." Nick Deavers from Nick Deavers Racing in Michigan, USA has checked-in and passed inspection for the Race of the Rising Sun diecast tournament! Nick will be driving the white 1996 Nissan 180SX Type X, known as "Nunya." Don't let its looks deceive you, because this Nissan is built to race and not look pretty. We feel sorry for any shiny rides racing next to Nick, because he will put you into the wall no questions asked.
