LET'S HEAR IT, WHAT DO WE RACE NEXT ?

any more of a weight limit than that could restrict the body choices to deliveries and panels

I put together a 100 gram Ferrari Testarossa.

im jut brainstorming, all in all im not super picky about what we race, as long as we get to it I like all these idea, and i really like the four cars two classes format

I.M.O. if we race 2 and 2 per team, [ count me in ]... lets leave an option for a racer to enter 1 and 1...[ not all racers have the time ] then just double their score.... don't want to discourage anyone from entering.

Sure, either that or have the option of sending stockers.

Let's up the weight then to something like 55 grams.

MUST ENTER TWO FTE AND TWO NON-FTE CARS. ONE SERIES, TWO CLASSES. (Or one car per class. Single car points doubled)
(Any car w/FTE wheels is an FTE car)
YOUR CARS MUST HAVE DIFFERENT BODIES (no two bodies alike).(The Body or theme to be decided)
STOCK OR MOD OK (IT'S MORE FUN TO MOD!).
NO EARLY REDLINE WHEELS.
CARS MUST WEIGH 55GRAMS OR LESS.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 3.5” LONG.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 1.25” TALL.
ONLY "DRY" LUBES ARE ALLOWED.

I Like that ^^^
Lets just pick our theme, plan the dates and get going!

I'd like to get some input from EconoCarl and JDC442 before we get too far ahead of ourselves...but on the other hand if we can keep this race a secret from them all the rest of us would have a lot better chance of winning.

To narrow it down. I say a Muscle Car class and an open/run what you brung . Any brand die cast.

I still like also the idea of the Chevelle Cup type race were everybody enters the same style car.

.... I.M.O....any more of a weight limit than that could restrict the body choices to deliveries and panels...convertibles would be too cool to go without !

I'm with TLD on this, I've built a 107 gram Chrysler 300 for the November HWC races and there was still a little room for more weight in it. Cars wouldn't have to weigh 100 grams, they just can't go over 100 grams.

Thoughts?

It crossed my mind that 100grams could cause problems on tracks at the transition. We did 35,45 no problem we could go to 55 grams and see if there are any ill effects and maybe jump the next race in the future to 65. Something like that.

A valid point....my transitions & curves are visually stressed @ 65g>.

I'm with whatever the majority wants to do and here are a few of my thoughts. Some people are going to want to race stockers and some want to 'build' cars. As most of us can attest it is a lot of work to modify a car and make it faster than it was originally, especially at 35 grams. If we go with the 100 gram limit it might even the playing field for those who modify, yet still be competitive for those with fast stockers (F40 comes to mind). As for an FTE and non FTE class, at 100 grams I don't know that the wheels matter that much. The F-150 that won Truck-o-rama didn't have FTEs and it was quite a bit lighter than the 2nd place FTE equipped big yellow truck as well.

With that said, the FTE/Non-FTE war doesn't seem to have an effect on the official RLD track for some unknown reason.

I'm ok with a middle weight challenge! Perhaps carsthat are between 35g - 55g?

cool, i agree with fte not being the major factor in the heavies classes...
. as for weight ; h.w.c. does 2oz. = 56.699 G's, top sportsman II did likewize, we should move the 55. G's to 56.6G's. uniformity.

I like that idea because there are lots of fast cars within that weight range.
