Ok, just a little info on me. I've been customizing for the past 10 years, but mostly decals, wheel swaps, and turning cars into drag racers, road roacers, Zingers, Spoilers, and so on. Occasionally I paint, but I don't have the patience waiting for it to dry. These are my first actual race cars. I just joined the Lincoln Club this year and just run the stock casting.
Anyway, I pulled the hood off the T-Bird a while back and numbered it. The FTEs and other decals were added to get it dressed up for this race. Can't remember where I got the Bee or what series it's from. Just added the decals, roof light, brush painted the hood, added decals added FTEs. My work scale says both weigh in at 50 grams. I guess we'll see how they run.

Those cars look great.

Got my dates mixed up and have been working on some Middleweight cars. I'll have a couple entries for this Sportsman race.

trouble in the sloppy garage, bb size ball of j.b.quick never really set up on the '36 willys' rear axle... took it apart... stripped out the"clay"... mixed a gumdrop size j.b. ball... worked... had to repaint....reassembled... but it's a half a gram overweight.... apart again.... burrbit.... repaint... reassembled. loctite/stick n' seal [indoor] sets up clear and slightly flexible, but it takes 36 hrs.of "level drying" before shipping... i'm thinking next day air to CA.Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Glad to hear you got it fixed. The JB I used to set the axles on the T-Bird took a while to set up. I don't think I used enough hardener. Then when I was boxing them up Thursday I noticed I didn't JB the body to the chassis. Finally got mine to the post office yesterday. Priority should have them there Tuesday.

ditto, a dab of j.b. quick may not generate the internal "heat" needed to set-up, with a gasser [front axle mounted down under] i don't j.b. quick them at the same time, so it only takes but a little dab.

I wasn't able to work on any cars until this morning! Built two but only one made the cut so an oldie was sent. I'll call her "Unfinished Business"! The nice lady at the post office said they should make it to California on Thursday.
