Race format and scoring

Bracket seeding will be randomly generated.

Pro/Am teams will be randomly seeded in 16 groups of 4.
1 Pro/Am team vs 1 Pro/Am team per group.
Round 1 starting positions for the 1st race of each group will be determined by the qualifying times.
After the 1st lap cars will start in the positions they finished in the previous lap.
Cars will race for 6 laps to accumulate as many points as they can.
The team with the most points at the end of the 6 laps will advance to the next round, the other team is eliminated.

For all the following rounds, (R2 through the semifinals), the starting grid will be randomly generated.
After the 1st lap cars will start in the positions they finished in the previous lap.

In the Finals the driver with the fastest lap time starts on the inside lane for the 1st lap. Then cars will alternate lanes.

2nd. 3
3rd. 2
4th. 1
DNF = 0
Crashing on or off the raceway will earn you a ticket to the back of the starting grid.

Cars are given a grace of 1gram over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

Penalties/DNF

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for the tournament.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track will not qualify. Any car that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. An attempt to repair cars that arrive broken will be made before the race begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Question: Are we still allowed to drill the Am model so it can be stripped and painted (and then reassemble with screws) or is that too much modification?

  • Aloha Secret, Yes you can remove the Am body for painting. Just have to leave the windows clear. :) — GryphonSoul
