Clear coat peeling paint - Help!

I have also had the culpret to be primer coat, and a poor cleaning of the casting to start

did one, and could almost peal the whole coat off.

Currently thinking of a light soda blasting them all (finger acid?) and a distilled water/alcohol rinse

I never had as many issues with paints on many scale models,

until the last 10 years.  I have shake the crud out of cans for days (even new ones) to get them to spray decent

testor is rustoleum so usually no problems there

all issues in base/primer coats

any advice, keep it comin'

I've had good results using Krylon triple thick glaze.  The only thought I had about the peeling clear coat would be how old is it? Chemicals could break down and change as they age.  That and not shaken well enough. Triple thick is good and where I would use 5 coats of testore I would use 2 triple thick.  Available at wally world.

Most definatly want to go super light coats, I find in  high humidity takes longer in between coats to allow paint to flash. I was waiting 15-20 minutes in between coats worked out. I waited 2 to 3 days of drying before I sprayed clear coats. Sprayed super light coats first 3 then got a bit heavier. I also had issue with it lifting my decals and not the paint when applied in heavy coats.

I moved away from rattle cans because of humid weather and moved into my basement converted to air brush. So my issues are gone I even spray 2k clear on low air psi inside without to much smell and evac out window when needed. 

I use two part automotive 2k clear coat these days... airbrushed... but I still get the occasional issue. Sadly, my gallon can is running low and I am not sure what I will do next, so like many, I am searching for an affordable, repeatable option...

I have tried that triple thick glaze and have had reasonable success. I found this article about other rattle can options... although I would prefer to stick with the airbrush.

my airbrush use is limited,
but I saw (web site) some guys emptying the whole can directly into a jar with 2 little holes in the lid

they just used a carb cleaner tip, shook a few  times while emptying it.
then were using it in the airbrush unreduced, or slightly using enamel thinner 

they put the harvested paint in new 1/2 pt (i think) tin paint cans, dab on the lid to ident it

they were doing it for the colors mainly

curious if the info is correct
