Custom Carnage 2

Custom Carnage 1 was a blast we are back for Custom Carnage 2. This will be the same format as CC1. A single elimination Bracket style of event.
4 cars 4 running at a time. Alternating positions each race. 4 laps each round. Top 2 in each heat will move on to next round. This will be the format the entire Tournament unless number of entries will not allow. At that time the number of cars moving on may change and bonus round of racing maybe added to help balance out bracket. My Goal is to give every car a hones chance and good screen time.
I am looking for at least 32 cars. But will take any number possible and will adjust as needed.
One change this event I will be doing is I am willing to mail back cars to those who wish to have there cars returned. I will ask for $10 for return shipping or you may send a prepaid return shipping package of your choice. I am also Asking for $3 donation on entries. (Not mandatory or required to enter) to help with shipping and prizes. I do hate to even ask as you all already spend you time and money on the cars making them great. But it really helps me with prizes and shipping. Thanks for your understanding
All cars not being returned will become part of the prize package. All $ collected will be used for shipping and prizes

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 40 to 55 gramsg maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• 2 entries max
• Weight must be hidden
• Custom or stock paint allowed

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Tuesday, 8/29/2023. Racing is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/5/2023. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Track

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. 4 cars on track for 4 races per heat top 2 cars in each heat will advance to next round

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be based on time trials

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
