CUSTOM MARIO KARTS & RACE VERSE TOURNAMENT

Customised Hot Wheels Mario Karts & Race Verse Tournament on our Four Seasons Rally Spool Heads track! 

For those new to our channel, this is diecast racing for adults. We just like to have a bit of fun with Mario Karts every now and then...

Rules & restrictions

• Modified 1:64 MARIO KART & RACE VERSE Hot Wheels vehicles ONLY. Make sure you only use these, as non-Hot Wheels ones often don't run on Hot Wheels track and will struggle with the two lane sections which are the same width
• You must use a Hot Wheels Mario Kart or Race Verse vehicle, with any character in it. You can swap them around into different vehicles from other Mario Kart/Race Verse characters, but you cannot use a regular Hot Wheels vehicle and stick the character in it. 
• 120g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• You can customise the vehicle, swap the character into a different Mario Kart or Race Verse Hot Wheels vehicle (easy to do with a triangle screw driver), change the wheels, add weights, extend the vehicle in line with the size limits etc

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 3/14/2025. The first race will be posted within two weeks, with videos thereafter going up every 1 - 2 weeks on YouTube. If you confirm postage tracking by 2/28/2025 and are shipping from America/Canada/Mainland Europe, your place will be guaranteed even if it is late.

How to enter

We are based in the UK, please allow a couple of weeks for shipping.

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

There is no entry fee on this tournament.

SHIPPING from the US to the UK can be expensive, keep this in mind before entering.  

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

IMPORTANT -  Please read the information I will send you on the customs declaration. 

Track

Spool Heads two lane track for around half the track, followed by a slight jump into Spool Heads 99mm open track for the remainder. Multiple 90 and 180 turns.

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. The number of rounds will depend on the number of entries we get.

We are aiming for at least 16 entries. There will be a maximum of 32 entries. 

This is a four vehicle race, with four laps per race (vehicles will rotate starting positions each lap).

One Point Per CheckPoint Crossed (4 Including the Finish)

PLUS
First Place Finish = 4 Extra Points
Second Place Finish = 2 Extra Points
Third Place Finish = 1 Extra Points

Maximum possible points = 8 per lap.

ROUND 1 - the TWO teams/vehicles with the most points will proceed to the next round.

FURTHER ROUNDS - the team/vehicle with the most points will proceed to the next round.

In the event of a tie at ANY stage, the vehicles will race two laps altenating lanes. The team that wins both races (or has the fastest lap time if there is a tie) will proceed.

This is not one of our obstacle races, there will be no obstacles on the track.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

You must pass through all of the checkpoints (3 + finish line) to complete the race, with at least your front two wheels over the finish line.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not race.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Winning team logo displayed on billboard on the track for the next three tournaments.
