Dalevis Jenkins 1st Annual Race & Hang

Some of the top diecast builders and collectors will be showing up at the Commotion Diecast Race Complex for an all out diecast battle! Even if you can’t make it, here’s your chance to participate! We will be doing four total races LIVE  on the Diecast Drag Racing Facebook page on Aug 5 and 6th. There will be a stock class race as well as a modified class race that you can mail in entries for! You can enter one or both races. If you’re in, comment here and we’ll make sure you have a spot.

Here are the details:

RACE 1 - Stock Class - 30g-39.99g

Any stock casting
•Any brand
•Must be below 39.99g or disqualified
•Any Lube
•The car itself CANNOT be opened up.
•You can add decals or paint with paint markers to make your own.
• You can't glue anything to the car. if it detaches it needs to stay that way. if it opens it needs to stay that way.

RACE 2 - 70g Way2Fast Modified

Any Hot Wheels Way2Fast casting

•Must be below 70.9g or disqualified
•Any Lube
•Must keep engines and exhaust pipes.
•You can add decals or paint with paint markers to make your own.
• You can't glue anything to the car. All weight must be inside vehicle.
•Sanding base is allowed
•Window filling NOT allowed
•No filling body lines, must appear stock in shape
•Tubes allowed, no bearings
• Any size wheel allowed, NPA and FTE allowed

THE BUSINESS:
•$5 Entry Per Class ($10 for both races) Two entries per race per builder allowed
$10 for shipping inside the US.
•Race will be a timed event
•All cars will get one run down each lane
•Going off times the field will be cut in half after each round.
•The second lap will be used in case of a tie
•The final 2 rounds the cars will get 2 runs down each lane.
•Last one standing will be the Champ!

Cars will be racing on the two drag tracks at Commotion Diecast. Cars must be at the track by Aug 3rd. The winner on each track will get a Trophy and prize bag!!

• Limit 2 entries per class per household

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Thursday 8/3/2023. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 8/5/2023. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Send your entries to:

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Racing will be on the The Grindelwald Strip. View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. This is a timed event. Top 16 times advance and so on. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
