DRIFT or DIEcast Racing presents "Fast Bash #1" Super Heavyweight Class

Welcome everyone, Drift here from DRIFT or DIEcast Racing! I am looking forward to all the entries and competitors In our first ever "Fast Bash" downhill "modified only" diecast racing tournament! A gathering of the fastest cars that modified diecast racing has to offer!
This tournament is for modified entries only and will be broken into 4 tiers determined by weight class and will have a winner from each weight class. Besides weight, this is an open class so any brand, make or model is allowed with a few restrictions.
This is a timed downhill race where we will give each entry a timed run on both lanes in the qualifying round. After the qualifying round, the Top 16 fastest times will advance on to a single elimination bracket tournament and will then race again but this time in a head to head showdown!
We will have 4 classes you can race
Post submissions here for all weight classes, awards and podium finishes will be announced in the corresponding weightclass tournament posts.
-Lightweight 40g or less
-Middleweight 41g to 50g
-Heavyweight 51g to 65g
-Super Heavyweight 66g-80g
Rules & restrictions
- Modified entries only
- 80g maximum weight
- 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
- Limit 4 entries per household
- Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
- Dry/Wet Lubricants (Tap off extra before shipping if dry, no soul glowing if wet)
- Any brand, make or model
- No protruding or foreign objects extending past the starting gate
- No bearing stretching, otherwise make it fast
- Please include $5.00 per entry and $10.00 if you want me to send your entries back after the conclusion of the tournament. If sending from overseas please send me what it will cost to ship it back overseas to you.
- 1 Entry per weight class, per household (Max 4 entries)
Dates & deadlines
All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 9/26/2025. Qualifying round is scheduled for Friday, 10/3/2025 with results posted that evening. Top 16 Single Elimination Tournament is scheduled for Saturday 10/4/2025 with full tournament results will be posted on sunday 10/5/2025.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. If shipping from outside the US please send how much it will cost to ship your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner of each respective weight class as part of the prize.
Entry payment can be send via Venmo, Cash app, PayPal or money order. DM me for payment format information.
Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry
Track
18' total track length from starting gate to finish line. 2 Lanes, 6' downhill run with 12' straight stretch to finish gate. Uses a Play Robotics Pro Timing System. Tracks are within .005 milliseconds of each other and the platform track sets on is leveled.
The Top 16 Single Elimination Tournament will be video recorded, edited and uploaded to my new YouTube channel.
Race format and scoring
This is a timed downhill race where we will give each entry a timed run on both lanes in the qualifying round. After the qualifying round, the Top 16 times will advance on to a single elimination bracket tournament and will then race again but this time in a head to head showdown!
The pairings will be determined by seeding according to the fastest qualifying times (#1 races #16, #2 races #15, etc). Each car will race on each lane in the head to head, in the result of a tie the winner will be determined by a single track run using the same lane with the fastest time being the tie breaker.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
Prizes
Winners of each weightclass will receive a Trophy and gift bundle which will be mailed to them following the conclusion of the tournaments end.

Hey DRIFT or DIEcast Racing,
You're being questioned simply because more than one guy has set up bogus races, I surmise for the entry money & cars. When you have a YouTube channel and track photos people will feel a bit more comfortable signing up. Hang in there, get those things done too & you'll have better chances of filling a race. Make sure to communicate with builders, send cars back in a timely fashion & you'll build trust.
It's always cool to see new tracks to race on. I hope you great success!!
- I can assure you I have a very solid reputation in the diecast community. I'm a moderator in Hot Wheels Collectors Group on Facebook, well known and respected WhatNot seller, friends with the guy (In real life) who designed the Dragon Fire Raceway. My last thought is to scam people, I'll provide photos, that's no issue. If people don't want to participate that's no problem, I understand hesitation from new members. - While I am no track host, if you put in the effort to make a few test run videos or do a mini tournament of your own castings then share it with us on YouTube, will see that you are more serious than just a few photos before we expect to see anything on the track. Since I know Drift personally I thought I might jump in here. He is a member of good standing in our local Facebook group and participates regularly, He's a racing enthusiast for sure, has a nice track setup, (although I think he's building another one) publishes results of his testing and has just found this community recently. A bonus his is better half is into diecast as well.
I had a couple questions on this race and messaged him, which he answered promptly. I'll be submitting an entry for each class, but the only mods they've have is lube. I want to see how they"ll stack up against real modified entries. I hope others join as well.

- Any casting, there are four weight classes though so if you have a casting that's normally stock weight in a different class and add weight it may be bumped into a higher class. Keep that in mind! But other than that the rules and regulations are in the event breakdown! — DRIFT_or_DIEcast_Racing
