DXP- Almost Real Car Race

There are 16 choices to chose from, all fantasy cars that resemble real cars. These are your only choices. All should be relatively easy to find for you to modify. Make them your own as long as it does not break the rules that follow. Only pick one for your entry.

$5 to race, $10 for return fee. I will not track you down, period!! If no return fee the winner will get your car. No exceptions!!

Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• 60g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entries per household. If there are more that want to race from the same household, contact host but be legit about it. 
• Retail axles allowed. NPA/FTE axles allowed. Tubes allowed.
• Any lube is acceptable but do not leak on the track! Any car that leaves a mess will be disqualified!
• There cannot be any body modifications. No opening up the wheel wells. No filling in of the windows. Keep the body the same as it came.
• The cars must have colored wheels however Wagon Wheels are not allowed! , no black tires are allowed. Clear wheels are allowed.  Tread must be colored. 
• No weight can be visible on the outside of the car
• No extra body protrusions are allowed
• You can sand the base of the car
• Custom paint allowed
• Custom stickers allowed but keep it clean, it’s a kid friendly channel
• Stock entries are permissible but why?
• Host has final say…Period!
• $5 race fee for your entry, no pay no race!
• I will not track you down for return money.  Cash and PayPal are excepted.  If you are from outside of the United States, please make arrangements with me for return shipping.  We love our visitors from outside the USA here and realize it takes more for you to participate.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 4/25/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 5/2/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host. 

***Attention***  Due to a conflict in schedule the race has to be moved to May 9.  I apologize for the change but it is unavoidable.  Thank you your understanding in this matter.

Include at least $10 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Race format and scoring

This will be a timed event. Fastest cars will move on. The amount of entries will determine the cutoff for the rounds.

I have no favorites and will be fair as possible.

Final 4 will more than likely get more passes to determine the final outcome.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race but will not be allowed to move on past the initial round. Therefore they will forfeit any chance for any prize available.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

There will be a trophy for first place. Money collected for race fee goes to trophy and possible other prizes. Also it fills in any small gaps that return shipping might not cover. I generally do not make a lot from hosting. This is for your enjoyment. Races will be posted on YouTube at DXP Diecast Racing
