Canceled: Muscle Mania

Jump to first page Jump to last page

Hello LoS

I have had to give myself a reality check with everything I have going on the next few months, so sadly I do not think I have enough resources /time to put together a team I would be happy with. I would like to annouce I am withdrawing from this event. Thank you.

This will allow me more time to spend on the development Z car team for the RLD Nationals.

Cheers

  • ...understood. — LeagueofSpeed
  • With all the delays and not returning cars, RLD has removed itself from this event. Now it's just the LoS Nationals. — Peter_Bee

Found something kind of funny today.  The taildragger is legal for the lowrider category, but is too heavy stock.

I'm almost finished with my builds. Going to have a team for each category! I'll post pictures as soon as I'm done. Looking forward to racing with y'all!

  • You may want to hold off on mailing those — Uncle_Elvis
  • Why is that Uncle Elvis? — GoldenOwl
  • LoS has been MIA for a few months now. Pretty sure this event is not happening — Uncle_Elvis
  • Oh I didn’t realize. I hope everything is ok. Thank you very much for letting me know. — GoldenOwl
  • Careful what you say Elvis. they're chastising all those who speak I'll his name. — CrazyEights

What about this for American Street?

  • You might not want to send it in. He is seriously behind on his races (Poppa Speed Invitational was supposed to be 8/15 and still hasn't been run) and there is a history of not returning cars, even if the money was paid for their return. Just a heads up... — Peter_Bee

Since the Poppa Speed Invitational hasn't been run yet (scheduled for August 15th), and I still haven't gotten my cars back from the May/June RLDL Double-header, I am withdrawing from this event.

I was really looking forward to this tournament.  Unfortunately due to obvious reasons, I am withdrawing from this race.  Very disappointed in this.

I asked if cars I wanted to build were ok in a private message and haven't gotten a response.  That was on October 18th. I now do not have the time to build and ship 6 cars to a person that cant respond to a simple message. Penguin Racing and NDR are with drawing from musclemania. I see no point in wasting my time or energy. Please send back my cars you claimed you were going to return on October 5th.

  • He's made a lot of claims and lived up to none of them. Hope it was worth it. — CrazyEights

Not sure if I have withdrawn from this one yet? Does it matter ? Please remove me if I have not been removed. I have to withdrawal from this and any other event being run at LOS unfortunately. I will continue to send in cars and support anyone else hosting races. I just can't put the time and effort in to build these cars and never have them run and never get them back.

Gen-X Vintage Racing must withdraw from Muscle Mania.  With our own tournaments and the magazine swamping our schedule, we're unable to complete a team at this time.

  • There's only so many hours in a day.I feel your pain lol. — Peter_Bee

American Muscle Races Final Results:

I am sad to say that after the Elections Riotors and Looters hit the Speedway and Burnt down the Storage Building where all are vintage race cars were being stored at for the last few months. Unfortunately the whole building was burnt down, only a few cars were saved. please contact your local politican for and accurate explaination of what happened?

Can you spot your cars in here?

Pretty sad to see this event implode as I loved the concept and put a lot of time and effort into selecting castings.  My teams were going to consist of one car designed by Larry Wood and one by Phil Riehlman.  The low-riders made it through painting.  Here is Phil's '65 Impala and Larry's '59 Impala.  I don't think they were going to be much for speed, but then in a low-rider, it is more about style!

  • Beautiful work! I'd gotten one American Muscle painted, but my lowrider and my American Street are sitting there not even stripped yet. Since my wife and I submit as one team, the overall amount of finished product is higher. She is mostly done with two of her three. Still, not enough time to finish for the deadline, and still wondering if all the cars we've sent in previously will get to see a track soon. — GenX_VintageRacing
  • Having never hosted an event, I certainly have no idea of the efforts involved, but I'm not going to direct any more of my building efforts toward venues that are backloged. — TheMakersBox
  • Wow these are killer! — GoldenOwl

I'm thinking let's get this event back on track... a lot of people were interested and while I don't have tobacco road I do have my track....

If i were to suggest say cars be due to me by December 18th who would be interested?

Just asking for now. Looking for suggestions.

  • Nick, if there was enough interest I would be willing to do that. Even if it was at the first of the year. — DXPRacing
  • Ok let's see if I can garner enough support. I'd hate for people to have built these cars and not race I know I wouldn't have built the low riders if not for this event. — NDeavers80
  • PLEASE!!! If you do not mind keep the same rules so folks like me who already have them built are good to go. — Uncle_Elvis
  • Sign me up! — GoldenOwl
  • If it were after the 1st of the year, I'd be game. December is going to be tough for us. — GenX_VintageRacing
  • Rules would be the same only thing I would change is venue — NDeavers80
  • Nick, you are my hero. — TheMakersBox
  • Like I said its ashame to waste cars that won't be competitive with anything but each other — NDeavers80
