Pure Muscle 2

One year after the inaugural Pure Muscle event, the baddest American muscle cars are returning to Timber Creek Speedway to settle unfinished business.

The competition is back, and this time there are no limits on your imagination.

Build it light. Build it heavy. Build it fast.

If you think your muscle car has what it takes, enter it and prove it against some of the quickest custom-built machines from around the country.

And yes, ponies are allowed!

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 65g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per race team member
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Tubed axles alllowed
• Any lube allowed
• Windshields MUST be unpainted - driver needs to see where to point! - if your windshield is painted, then 0.5s will be added to your combined time.
• American muscle cars (real castings only): Hot Wheels, Matchbox, GreenLight, M2, Johnny Lightning, Auto World or similar 1:64 scale brands
• All entries will first compete in qualifying heats to determine the fastest competitors.
• Qualified racers will advance into the knockout elimination rounds.
• Drivers will swap lanes during racing, with the combined time determining who advances.
• Every thousandth of a second could be the difference between victory and elimination.
• $5 per entry

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 10/3/2026. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday, 10/10/2026, where the actual race will be held the following Saturday (17th October). Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back.
Entries not getting returned will be held at the track for future events.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it gets the fastest combined time from both lanes. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be from qualifying.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 0.5g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Fastest Qualifier Award - trophy mug: Awarded to the driver who records the quickest combined qualifying time, regardless of where they finish in the elimination rounds.
