Race Numbers
98, the year I met my wife.
66 & 72 are backup numbers when 98 is already claimed.
#22 is my prefered number, with #2 as a back up. Both are part of my late mother's DOB and 2 was my childhood lucky number. lol
I forfeit #60, #70 makes more sense with a name like 1370.
I wanted #79, but Ra Sungod was using it. So I use #97 when a number is required, and when I have to do 2 cars, it's #97 & #98 if they're available.
Not sure if it's taken but I'd like 42, after all it the answer to life universe and everything....
- I think it's take by numbskull.. — ManiacMotorsports
- You, good sir, are a scholar and a gentleman, a man of culture and taste. — SpyDude
- Thank you Spydude, you as well. Nice to see that someone out there other than the dolphins and mice got my reference — Sunshine_City_Garage
- It's also Richard Petty's number. — SpyDude
I'd like to be a number divisible by 5, please and thank you.
- Check out page 1 of this post. Lots of numbers available. 30, 40, 45 plus others. Pick one, claim it, good luck. — alva1370
- This list isn't authorative in any way, mainly just a reference of sorts for folks wanting to pick a number if they didn't have one already. In your case I'd reckon 35 would be pretty safe as I've only seen one builder use it and he isn't very active as opposed to 55 which might get used by two more active builders. If the host allows three digit numbers you'd likely be grand going with 355. — Spirit_Of_64
- 355, good one — alva1370
Yep, #13, been my lucky number since I was a kid. My Granddaughter was born on Friday the 13.

Glad to see you had me as 28. Didn't know if anyone realized that. Keith (Flip's Racing) and I have been involved with some sort of racing forever. When Keiths dad (My uncle) used to race he was #41. My dad was #82 (double 41), I reveresed it giving me 28. But the 28 hardees cars (cale yarborough in cup and Alan Kulwicki's ASA cars) were my favorite paint scheme.
Funny enough, Keith has alwasy been 81 but his dad has been racing as 18 for the past 15 years or so. Which ties in as well. Here's my race car from a few years ago.
