...IMO... it's better to fine tune [clarify] the rules as soon as poss... go boys go !
Eager to see what you create! These "ideals" fit closer to my definition of what a modern Rat Rod looks like (what ever is laying around), while it still pays homage to that classic Hot Rod stance!
Thanks Milton! I'm eager to see what I create also, mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing I'm probably going to build my all-time favorite Hot Wheels Rat Rod/Hot Rod casting; the Boneshaker! I hope it looks AND performs good when I'm done.
go KO go !... should make a great rat !
Thanks Smitty! So, can I use OH5 wheels? Or does it have to ba a specific type of 5 spoke wheels?

couldn't find OH5 in my cat.... found HO5... I am not a collector, don't know the code...run 5 spokes not FTEs ...
OH5's are the non nickel plated axle version of FTE's. You can see through the space between the spokes.

I'm no collector either, although I do have a boatload (keeping it PG here) of these little cars.
I think he means the 5SP (and I've been wrong before).
There are many variations and colors.
