Goin out to Moontower Muscle

And the GTR Baja Bison Rallycross

  • Wow! Very interesting paintjob on the Bison — ManiacMotorsports
  • I was trying for a marble look to it. Didn't come out as good as I would have liked, but that was the third or fourth attempt and time was ticking down.... — StrayDog
  • Nice Bison! Can't wait to race with you! — JBlotner42
  • How did you make the marble-like finish? — Fat_Dad
  • Hey Fat Dad! You dry out a baby wipe and stretch it out until you get a webbing look to it, and wrap it tight around a preprimed piece (in this case base color was red) and spray the light color over the wrap. You have to unwrap it it before it gets too dry. I've never really tried it before, and it's really designed for more flat surfaces but I wanted a marble bison. — StrayDog
  • Hey StrayDog, thanks for the tutorial! I am going to experiment with that if you don't mind. I think it looks so cool! — Fat_Dad
  • Experiment away! I hope you have more luck with it! I'm going to keep trying on it myself — StrayDog
  • The marbling effect is cool on that Bison. You might want to try spraying one color and letting it dry, then spray a second color over it and use a wadded up plastic grocery type bag and blot it into the second coat before it dries. — johnson9195
  • Interesting thought. I'll give it a try — StrayDog
  • I think it totally looks like marble, fantastic!! — G_ForceRacing
  • Cool! — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
  • Thanks! — StrayDog
  • Very cool. I've been watching hydrodipping videos today and thought that's what this is. Nice work! — FeralPatrick

My first attempt at painting a Hot Wheels - this is for an upcoming race with VW Bugs. I'm calling the car - Raw Nerve. Now I'm forced to get my work area somewhat cleaned up and organized

I had gotten this ford gt at a thrift store and very clearly it could not run, so I modified it and now it can run while clocking in at 40.6 grams
