I turned this little VW puller/tractor into a cool drag truck.Rear fairing covering the lead weights is the back half of a Turbine Sublime body. It's at 83.67 grams.
Thanks! Kinda can't hook up the trailer any more with the lead on the tractor so yeah....maybe some jack stands to hold trailer level since it's now going to be stationary/parked.

My latest batch. Dodge M-80 truck, i-Pace, Ford Van and a Deora on a practice track. 6” drop, 1” rise, 9’ long, no start gate or timing. Extra mild but a good break in track.
axle tube soldered to around a .020" thick is a nice place to start. .020 has a bit of spring, and each added thickness makes a stiffer spring

so a .040 piece somewhat half's the spring force

@Kingjester The body is made of 2 parts of plastic. The base is riveted to the upper half. All I had to do is cut the upper level off the roof, then lower the roof on to the lower half.

So I have a couple cars to the point I can show. Headlights/taillights to go.. I have a body to show fade attempt maybe I can get some pointers...
I put these together for the 2 guys that help with Church races.
I buy decals from my beater out of Florida. High Quality and Love them.
I got the wheels from my Etsy guy. Never disappointed with his work. I have purchased over 30 sets so far.
I do all my painting and applying decals. I'm learning and I'm having a blast.
I did find a YouTuber that shared his Partner in China that is a Master at this decal thing. Picked up a Ton of tricks and tips to practice as I have 3 vehicles to decal this week and 9 more cars to paint for kids.
lastly I will throw out my attempt to free hand with airbrush fade.
Candy violet purple over silver sealer .. I sprayed pearl white over the candy violet, then more violet on trunk to darken it.
Pearl Blue sprayed over silver sealer
Pearl Green over Silver Sealer
I do enjoy seeing everyone's creations come to life.. Please keep a posting your projects..
