RLD Workshop - What'cha Modding?

Jump to first page Jump to last page

Started on the Formula 5000 today for Dixie Gran Prix...got to love castings from the 70's that come with shag carpet wrapped around the back axels and wheels...it's seen some carpet rolls in it's time.

One wheel is competition ready and the other is not...sanding the FTE package for the Formula 5000.

Cleaned up the Workshop a touch...though my days on the Dining Room table are now numbered...some projects...really looking forward to building that Gold 63 Stingray Concept.

The League of Speed Workshop is once again at full bore...battling the Riddle of Speed on the Quest for Speed...good luck to all as we enter the final quater of 2018.

Fantastic little cavity on the underside of the Formula 5000 for weight...crammed it mostly full of tungsten puddy and capped it with a lead weight...letting it setup now as tungsten puddy can be superglued like any other weight.

  • That is flippin beautiful! I’m totally copying that down the road. — Jav74

Project Daytona is underway...a one day build that has to be mailed out tomorrow.

The Noodle Head suspension system post Original Redlines individual  suspension systems...the axels are fixed in the plastic which is attached in the center of the chassis...a seesaw effect.

Getting ready for the Feature Race at D64 to start the 2019 Racing Season...Cop's and Robbers.

Besides Mustang Summer prep...took time to get ready for the Rodger Dodger vs King Cuda Memorial Day Race...hosted by MDG Racing at the Bayou City Diecast Raceplex.

CAN U SWAP THESE WHEELS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE DIFFERENT SIZES?

  • Check each axel length to the inner wheel hub and then you'll know — LeagueofSpeed
  • the axles are fine we were just worried about the WHEELS in the back being different sizes in the back. — SavageSpeeder
