I would like to be on the alternate list too please.
For those curious how the alternate slots work... I send out a reminder 4 weeks prior to deadline and 2 weeks prior to deadline. If someone does not reply by the 2 week deadline reminder, I start going down the alternate list.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
For those on the official roster for the Scrapper's Showdown (top 32 drivers), we will be having a "Best of the Worst" contest voted on by the viewers/followers. So the sooner you can get your builds to me, the sooner we can do this little contest. I would like to make and release this video before the end of July.
"So, when I signed up for this race I knew I'd have plenty of rides that would fit the bill, I'd just have to narrow it down to one. Then I remembered I still have my old CRX I used to run Junior Hornets with down at the local 7/8 mile bullring way back when. Never dominated the leaderboards or anything, but I like to think I left everything out there on the track, even if I was just fighting for like 7th place or something.
Thing is, the other kids were too, so the white flag would make us see red and we'd be beatin' and bangin' for all we were worth! I deffo finished more than my fair share of races going full turtle, and the announcer had taken to calling it the 'Roundwell roofslide'. Good thing I grew out of THAT habit! (laughs nervously)
So I went up to my aunt's ranch and pulled the ol' beastie out of the weeds. After that, some friends and I cleaned out all the dead leaves and mouse poop, changed out all the fluids, and otherwise got the car into halfway decent running order. I also just had to change out the driver's door, cos the old one had all the structural integrity of a soda can. Honestly, this thing is just about used up, but I reckon it's got one more good race left in it..."
