Okay, not a car...but how about a vintage track set? The 1970 Hot Wheels Hazard Hill race set.
I was 5yrs old when I saw one on display in our local toy store. Fast forward 55 years and its finally on my workshop table. These old sets are incredibly difficult to find complete and undamaged. The upper track section is made from vacuum-formed plastic, which is now old, thin, and brittle. To make the set usable again, I sprayed a layer of rubberized spray sealer to the underside of the fragile upper track. It should help provide at least some structural integrity to the thin plastic. My favorite part of this set is that it can be used at a starting point or installed anywhere mid-coarse (entry & exit track connection points).
A huge 48 car haul from a place I went last fall. A couple FTEs, some classics, and four funny cars. One of the #3 Megagraphics Funny Cars is the fastest, but the competition is fierce! Green '69 Chevy probably heading to the Timeless Truck Showdown, and I picked up a Baja beetle for an upcoming GTR tournament.Comment down below which ones your favorite!
I've had good luck with Jag DTypes. This one isn't as fast as some. I've got one heading to diecast Derby League which isy fastest build ever.

I have several loose and carded GT90s and Type Ds. Funny thing is, I've found that the GT90s are slow pokes in stock form. Type Ds though, they're solid runners in stock form. Both castings do respond well to mods, however.

These will stay carded, I have a soft spot for 1st Gen Mustang Fastbacks. Even if I wanted to mod them for racing the wheels are puny, as are the wheel wells. Not really sure I'd want to try similarly sized HW wheels.
These on the other hand will be drilled and stripped. They've bigger wheels, I'd invest the time is race prepping them.
Scored another Ultra Hots 3pk yesterday and was hoping everyone was watching basketball, as got it for under $39 with shipping and sales tax included...can't have enough early 80's UH's.
Fresh pegs at the $1.25 store, yellow Plymouth has already been called out for a race.
Spent this weekend in Louisiana laid over for work split between last week and this week. Here is my haul:
These first two photos are from an antique store. Some great Metal/Metal candidates in this lot.

This is all from a couple of Walmarts.
Found this nice lot
Fresh K case at my local DG. My first time getting to crack a fresh case. I put up on the pegs what I didn't take, because that's just what you do.
Found what I was hoping for too.

Some of my haul the past couple of days.

Last is a couple of Batmobiles.

White import rolls good, I need to race more imports. The other 2 are stapled to the wall for now.
