Southern Pro-Stock Skirmish

It's time to race some 'Factory Hot Rods' down Moonshine Dragstrip in this 'Run whatcha' brung' Hot Wheels racing event!

Rules & restrictions

• Hot Wheels Modified Pro-Stock Dragster entries only! (Custom paint/decals STRONGLY Encouraged!)
• Limit 4 entries per household.
• 70g maximum weight. (NO TUNGSTEN PUTTY!)
• 3.25in. long x 1-5/8in. tall x 1.25in. wide.
• Retail axles and BLACK Wheels ONLY. 'Faster Than Ever'/Nickle Plated Axles allowed.
• Wheel swaps allowed, but must keep original size such as 'Fats' in the rear*.
• Sanding/coning wheels okay.
• Sanding Front Spoiler and/or Wheelie Bars for Clearance concerns okay.
• Tubes okay.
• Must keep original casting body lines.
• No fender hogging.
• Window filling/painting okay.
• No weights outside of the casting.
• PLEASE ASK FOR CLARIFICATION ON RULES PRIOR TO STARTING YOUR BUILD!
• Below are some examples of the allowed castings: MUST BE BASED ON A PRODUCTION CAR (If you are unsure if your choice of casting is considered a 'Pro-Stock Dragster' please send me a photo for clarification. I will allow aditional castings if you ask, My Call!)
• * Some of the Pro-Stock models pictured below, 'Metro Rail', '40 Ford Truck' and 'Doge Neon' do not have 'Fats' in the rear, however I am allowing them under the condition their wheels must remain the same size as the original casting.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 1/25/2025. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 2/1/2025. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

NO ENTRY LIMIT!!! (Other than 4 per houshold as stated in the rules)

I'll be racing as many cars as I receive, so spread the word!

Entry Fee is $5.00 per car (4 cars = $20.00). Please include at least $10 for return shipping* if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be kept as a gift by the host for use in future events or as the host sees fit.

*I WOULD LIKE TO HOLD ALL ENTRIES UNTIL THE END OF THE 'HOT NUTS DIECAST' 2025 RACING SEASON. YOU WILL ONLY NEED TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING ALONG WITH YOUR FIRST RACE ENTRY, AS I WILL KEEP A RECORD OF THOSE WHO HAVE PAID. THEREFORE, IF YOU ENTER ANOTHER RACE LATER IN THE YEAR YOU WILL ONLY BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ENTRY FEE.

I will be hosting multiple races in 2025, so those who enter each race and agree, ALL OF Your Cars will be shipped back at one time in December 2025 with the exception of the winning cars and trophies. Those will be shipped back along with additional prizes immediately after the race event.

I am going to use this new return policy as more of a 'disclaimer' or agreement than a hard fast 'rule'. I will always be willing to make exceptions with proper communication privately.

I'm mainly posting this list to be as transparent as possible for those who choose to send cash for return shipping. I would prefer PayPal, so that we both have a digital paper trail, but I will post updates here to keep everything above board. Thank You All for entering!!! Craig 

Track

Racing will be on the Moonshine Dragstrip. View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

This will be a 'Best time moves on' tournament. Cars will alternate lanes between each race round. The cars with the best times in the top half of the field will move on to the next round, and the other cars will be eliminated.

Example: If we have a total of 32 cars in the race, 16 of them will be eliminated after round one based on the fastest times ran, and this same format will continue for the remainder of the race until a winner is determined.

The car that wins the final race with the best time after four races will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Race pairing will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the rules and restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
