The Magic of Graphite
Many have wondered how I made Carte Blanche much faster than other V-16s. Graphite is used in downhill racing to reduce friction, right? That's what it did with Carte Blanche whereas the graphite covered up the roughness of the axles by filling in and eroding the rough texture, acting as a polishing compound. However, rolling the wheels only a few times won't instantly erode away the rough surface. The roughness of the axles are microscopic and enough centrifugal force must be within the wheels where the graphite is like one of those Gravitron rides you see at county fairs to erode noticeable amounts of roughness.

With Carte Blanche, the wheels were rolled constantly until each wheel became nearly silent. The reduction in sound emitted by the wheels spinning is a sign of major friction reduction as sound is emitted from collisions of matter. Weights were also placed on top of the car when testing it on the track as a reference car for whenever I made entries for tournaments; this allowed gravity to press down on the wheels to the graphite against the surface of the axle, which eroded the roughness quicker.
