Thinking about hosting a tournament
I've been in this hobby for two years now and have been working on my home track about 6 months...and I'm nowhere near ready to host a race. I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn.
My advice to someone new to the hobby: Watch, learn, participate, ask questions, and be polite. Start out small with a "pick em" tournament until you familiarize yourself with the community and let the community become familiar with you. No one wants to send cars they work hard on to someone they don't know. There have been people no one knows come on here and post a race and have only a few cars sign up. If you want the best builders at your track, you have to do it right.
Welcome to Redline Derby. This is the most friendly and helpful group of hobbyists you'll find. Just don't be a dick.
- thanks for the advice man yeah i don't have a track ready yet either lol — DuckyDouseRacing
- Hey! Welcome to the community! I'm relatively new too and I've just hosted my own event. I've had some great support from various members, and it's all helped tremendously. I think my main piece of advice is, don't worry about asking questions. Everyone here is super helpful.. and as the Nike slogan says.. Just do it! — Road_Runner_Rumble
- alright great thanks lol — DuckyDouseRacing

Some great advice given above.
Take it slow, and have fun.
Cheers, wish you the best
