Track And Car Test/Race
the T.L.D. track is in full swing... 128 car eliminations... gavity rocks in the golden state !
WOW, convertibles win the last three races!
Keep up the good work (can it be called work? ) and the super slick presentations, can't wait to see more.
I'm really surprised that the FTE2 Datsun 510s aren't faster.
When I visited Austin Diecast Drags World Headquarters last month, Bryan lined up two Datsuns (an early car and an FTE2 car) a few times, the FTE2 car lost every time!
hey T.L.D.,
another nice couple of races and maybe the first underside picture i've seen, did you re-rivit that car ? i have never done that, don't know what it looks like...
convertibles win the last three races!
Yes, I noticed that same thing.
Sorting through the cars today I realized some of the cars I planned to include in the 128 car elimination race had not even run in one qualifying race. So here are the last qualifying runs before the big showdown.
WOW! A Citation wins Race 24! Whoda' thunk it?
On closer inspection I do see that it is the high performance X/11 model!
Sloppy Jalopies Racing is going to have a moment of silence for the 1st edition way 2 fast.... looks like you even gave her a second chance ! thanks T.L.D.
I just picked up a well used yellow Citation with Utra Hot gold wheels...haven't had time to test it out though.
TLD, your variety of castings never ceases to amaze me. I like the 'Land Lord' casting in race #24...they made that car for only 1yr(1983)!!
Do you, by any chance, have a 'Jet Sweep X5'?
1st edition way 2 fast
That one was going really strong, but the blue Jag was really tough.
I don't have that one. It's pretty funky looking. I wonder if it's fast?
Yea, me too...I know I have labyrinth of boxes in my storage locker.
Keep it up, man! I luv your bracket selections.
I'll have to track down a white one. I was just thinking today, considering how detailed and good looking that GT is, it sure is a junker in the performance department. My daughter has the blue one with red wheels and it can't even make the loop on her track. All around performance failure for that car.
Didn't expect this Kyle Petty car to win. It's not a mainline car...not the fastest bunch in this race either.
I'm surprised this Camaro was able to win it all. The rear axle is about 1/2 inch longer than it should be.
Alright, that's it. Going to toss out the 20 slowest cars or so. Then going to start the 128 car eliminations.
