Before stripping and painting your car: Cover with Frog tape.

Draw your pattern on tape.

Note reference points, such as window and wheel wells on tape for lining up and reapplying after cutting out pattern.

Cut a large piece of blister pack.

Carefully remove entire piece of tape and apply to one side of blister pack stock plastic.

Trim tape to size of plastic, or smaller.

Apply Frog Tape to other side of plastic stock.

Trim second side of tape  You do not want this stuff to stick glue on glue to itself. EVER. LOL

Trace the reference points on the second side.

Carefully cut with exacto or very precise scissors trying to do so in one slow very precise move. ( any studder will create a break in the line which will be visible after the final painting)

DISPOSE OF TINY SCRAPS ASAP SO NO CRITTERS OR MINI PEOPLE EAT THE LEFTOVERS!!

Decide and paint your car the first coat of paint.

Allow ample time to cure.

SLOWLY so as not to stretch the tape, peel ONE side from the plastic.

Align the reference points and apply to vehicle.

http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/ah305/CrzyTrkrDude/IMG_20150503_175738_zpsttynn4ns.jpg

Press and rub the edges firmly to prevent the second coat/color choice of paint from seeping under tape.

Repeat on other side of vehicle.

USE EXTRA FROG TAPE TO COVER AND PROTECT ANY OTHER AREA FROM OVER SPRAY DUREING THE SECOND COLOR SPRAYJOB!!

Paint, allow to cure. Repeat if desired.

Now, here is the neat part:

With a steady hand, and varying thicknesses of different colored Sharpie markers, you can trace onto the base coat along the tape for more dramatic effect.

Starting out thick and lighter, followed by thinner and darker.

SLOWELY  peel the frog tape off.

Clear coat, cure, clear coat, cure, clear coat.

Label and save template for reuse later. It can be used for a team pattern on different body styles.

Slap it together, and RACE THAT THING!!

I have not yet tried this myself, but logic says, you should at least have 2 VERY similar sides of your car.

GOOD LUCK!!
