Underground Street Racers Takeover is inspired by the raw, after-hours world of street racing — where reputation matters, margins are razor thin, and every run is judged by the clock. This tournament strips racing back to its essentials: speed, balance, and consistency.

The street racer theme celebrates custom builds, tuned machines, and the individuality of each car. These aren’t factory-perfect race cars — they’re street-born competitors, built to perform under pressure with no room for error.

The elimination format reflects real underground racing culture. There are no championships to chase and no points to accumulate — only survival. Each car runs both lanes, removing excuses and rewarding true performance. The fastest combined time advances, ensuring fairness and emphasizing driver precision over luck.

As the rounds progress, tension builds. The field narrows. The stakes rise. Every pass matters. One small mistake can end a run, while consistency becomes the ultimate advantage.

This tournament is about more than winning a final — it’s about proving who truly owns the track here at Timber Creek Speedway.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 65g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any lube to get you to first place!

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 1/31/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 2/7/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $12.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Please include your email address on the entry form so I can add you on the return tracking.

Race format and scoring

When the lights go low and the track comes alive, the Underground Street Racers take control.
This is not a points race. This is elimination.

Each street-built racer will face the clock, running both lanes in a head-to-head test of speed, control, and consistency. One clean run isn’t enough — only the fastest combined time earns a place in the next round.

> Round by round, the field gets smaller… until only one driver remains!

This is underground.
This is street racing.
One car takes it all.

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it has the fastest combined time. Cars will alternate lanes between each race heat.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the ultimate Street Race winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.... but also evenly distributed within groups if a racer enters 2 cars.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
