Overview:
Lets be honest…who doesn’t like Vans? This series was inspired by a builder who sent in a Van way back in the early days of the channel…and now I wanna do him justice by running it in a tournament. Youve all seen the Vans-Gone-Wild from first “Hot Car Track” and picked up by everyone’s favourite Texan at “Live You g Die-Cast”…well let’s put a Colder spin on things and run them at the Elevation Trail! Time to let those murals and shag laden Vans do the talkin’… we’re literally making Vans Cool again!!!

we’re looking for 1/64 scale VAN castings…how you make that work is up to you…be conservative…be WILD!…experiment…have fun…push your limits and see what you’re really capable of.

Wheels and axels:
ANY axel combination you can dream up
Wheels MUST be off-road/knobby (front and back)

Wheels can be ANY colour (black, white, brown are easy to find and welcomed if you choose)

Lube:
please, dry lube only

Build class:
Modified (stock weighted cars get bullied at the trail)

Please don’t send stock paint

No need for a race #…

Track:
Elevation Trail of Lakeridge Heights

Format and scoring:
We run 3 wide at the Heights behind a Moto-Style start gate. The track is wide open from top to bottom passing 10 check points along the way. 1 point is awarded for each gate crossed, and an Extra point will be awarded for crossing the finish line first for a Max potential of 11 points per race.

We run 3 times down the hill so each car has an equal opportunity in each position to make it as fair and as far as possible.

Cars will be randomly assigned into groups of 3…then assigned groups in following rounds according to points accumulated.

The cut line for subsequent rounds will depend on the total scores of the top cars going forward in such that they equal out to a balanced bracket moving forward.

Ties will be settled by a 2 race runoff where whoever collects the most points, wins.

The Finals will be a six lap race-off where the points are wiped clean from the previous rounds. Most points gained in the finals will be the Champion.

Penalties and repairs:
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the requirements, the car will not qualify.

Cars that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches

Cars that arrive broken will have an attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins

A nice clear hunk of ice for the winner along with a prize pack selection

Racing will be scheduled to begin once all entries arrive and will be posted to RLD and Facebook from YouTube

If you would like to see your logo at the trail, please include a water slide decal and I will add it to the logo garden
